2015 Polls: Taraba PDP Chieftain Lauds Ag. Gov
The Taraba State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism,Alh Abdulsallamu Bunu Bashir has applauded the efforts of the state acting governor, Alh Sani Abubakar Danladi, for ensuring that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) emerged victorious in the last general election in the state.
The commissioner, who stated this during a press conference in Jalingo, said that it was only a political “Think Tank” like the acting governor who could garner such victory for the party in the state.
“Most people had doubts about the party winning in the state, but I was not moved. I knew the leadership of the party in the state under Sani Danladi was capable of delivering the state, and he did it.
“Whereas other PDP states have fallen completely, Sani has ensured that the party still retains the governorship, the three senatorial seats, three House of Representatives seats, 15 state House of Assembly seats, and gave the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, an overwhelming victory at the polls.
“This is highly commendable, considering the fact that he has been out of active politics in the state for over two years and only returned a few months to the election. This shows what a master strategist he is”, Abdulsallam said.
Abdulsallam also called on all politicians to emulate Sani selfless kind of politics that is built on determination to serve the people and not for personal aggrandizement.
It will be recalled that Sani AbubarkaDanladi was impeached as Deputy Governor in 2011, shortly before the crash of DanbabaSuntai and was only reinstated in November 2014 after the Supreme Court nullified his impeachment.
