Zamfara govt to train civilian JTF

Zamfara state government has completed arrangement for the training of the newly recruited Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF).

Briefing journalists shortly after security meeting, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Abdullahi Shinkafi said the training would enable the civilian JTF to have proper understanding of the rules guiding the operations in the state.

He said that, training would however, enhance the capacity of the recruits and intimate them on the rules and law guiding the operations.

According to him, various security committees from ward to local government level were involved in the selection of the civilian JTF.

Shinkafi further revealed that already, security agencies were fully notified on the level of preparations on the recruitment.

According to him, “already, emirate councils have completed the selection of the civilian JTF at their emirates”.

He stressed that, the state was reviewing security situation, especially the use of motorcycle operating in the night.
