Young Man On The Run Over Involvement Same Sex Activities
The recent incident that led to the killings of some alleged Fulani headsmen in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State is generating further crisis as some Muslim fanatics and Fulani headsmen in the community are now after the youths in Uromi and other surrounding communities. Just as the Police has launched a manhunt for some some youths allegedly involved in the incident.
Addressing newsmen at the State Police Headquarters yesterday, the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) CSP Moses Joel Yamu said that three persons have been declared wanted in connection with the incident. The wanted persons are, Osiahon Azeta, Iyahen Friday Osamuyi and Isaac Oziegbe.
The PPRO said that they are wanted to explain their level of involvement in the killings. The killings of the Fulani herders by some vigilante members and youths drew the ire of some persons because of the barbaric nature of the killings and jungle justice meted out on them.
The killing of the headers, who were caught with sophisticated weapons in an articulated vehicle along Benin Auchi Express Road in late March, 2025, was a welcome development for people living in the Edo Central and Edo North Senatorial Districts which has been a beehive of kidnapping and Fulani herders attack.
According to the PPRO, Iyahen Friday Osamuyi, was recently involved in a same sex crime that almost led to his death, his gay partner and him were caught on January 9, 2025 at Owina area, Uzebu Quarters Benin City by youths of the area. They were caught making out. The disgraceful and abominable sight irked the youths who pounced on Friday and his partner
It was gathered that most of the youths who were at the scene were members of the opposition party that Friday, a member of the Obidient Movement and a die- hard supporter of Peter Obi, worked against during the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
They were severely beaten by irate mob, who were shocked at the abominable and unholy acts. The irate mob almost lynched them to death, but for the timely intervention of the police, who rescued them.

He was taken to the hospital by the police, who put a guard to watch over him. He escaped from the hospital when he overheard a conversation of the severity of his crime as it was a criminal offence that attracts several years imprisonment.
He fled to Uromi to evade arrest and prosecution.Then the problem of the Fulani’s reared its ugly head in Uromi, where he is now been hunted by the Fulani’s and some Muslim fanatics.
Since the onslaught on youths in the area, the life of Iyehen Friday Osamuyi and his family is in danger as they have fled for their lives.
