Why I became entrepreneur – Obaego, CEO Teczo group of companies

Rising entrepreneur Ejiobi Charles Chibuike, aka Obaego, has pointed out that not everyone who ventured into the world of entrepreneurship did so because of the profit they could gain and therefore live in affluence.

There are other noble reasons that could make someone tread the path of entrepreneurship, he argued.

“Earlier in June this year ( 2019), I channelled my thoughts into becoming an entrepreneur and my reason is to face new challenges, experience something new and be able to give back to the society,” he stated.

Obaego, who claimed that he is enjoying his new “calling” so far, disclosed: “The aspect of entrepreneurship that I enjoy most is the keen competitive nature of business with the pressure of striving to succeed which enables me to work harder.”

The 27-year-old, who is now managing director and CEO of three different companies ―Teczo Real Estate, Teczo Autos and Teczo Forex Bureau― further claimed that he is influenced by the philosophies of Chinese billionaire and entrepreneur, Jack Ma.

“I gain a lot of business insights by reading about Jack Ma and to date, I am still motivated by one of his business advice which says: “ Never give up.

Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine,” he said.

Obaego, also avowed that he has managed to be successful thus far because he knew that entrepreneurship is not a vocation to be taken lightly.

“My initial challenge as a businessman was, expectedly, economic instability, but by seeking professional support, I was able to turn the challenge into an opportunity,” he explained.

He further affirmed that he has been coping with the demands of his new life as an entrepreneur “because I upgrade my skills by attending some online seminars and also learning from experts and my mentors.”
