Whobaadblood Wins Best Music Sound Engineer At 2024 RBE Awards

Whobaadblood (Ikemesit Nkereuwem-Tim), a Nigeria born sound engineer, has won the best Music sound engineer of the year award at the 2024 RBE.
The award ceremony which was held at the historic Clapham Grand, London, United Kingdom, on Monday, December, 2, 2024 between 6pm and 11pm, had in attendance musicians, dancers, actors and actresses and many more.
Whobaadblood’s recent “Afrocentric EP” has gained viral airplay on major radio stations in Kaduna, Abuja, Lagos and other parts of the Country giving the EP a grand reception by artistes even within just its first week of release.
The EP on Spotify alone garnered about 3,000 plays in its first week too while the 3rd track title ‘Jukpa featuring A6ixx has gained popularity on Instagram and X being used by users for posts and reels.
The EP has also reeled in over 40,000 plays on AudioMack as well as enjoyed tremendous airplay on CD Baby and other musical platforms both digitally and traditionally
Afrocentric EP has been praised by fans and music critics alike. WhoBaadBlood is building in momentum as he is currently working on releasing another project come first quarter of next Year. He is already in the studio making some records for his yet to be named project.
In June 2024, Whobaadblood won the creative director of the year at the Golden Stars Award following the mega success recorded by SneakerFest in December 2023 bringing big global giants like Nike onboard as a sponsor.
His ingenuity is remarkably fusing Arts, Entertainment, Music, Fashion and Sports in SneakerFest where creative youths are empowered and celebrated while pushing for self- reliance, entrepreneurship and upholding of the African Arts and Lifestyle.
SneakerFest 2023 brought out notable Nigerian youths in all facets of life like award winning rapper Ladipoe, R&B singer Wurld with DMV rapper Dremo was one of the judges at the rap battle contest, Arts and Fashion icons like Holar of Lagos, YhemoLee and Entrepreneur White Lion were also present plus the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende.
Whobaadblood was born in Etinan, Akwa Ibom State, barely four decades ago and has always had a passion for creativity, art, entertainment and sports.
Beyond being a sound engineer who has worked with arrays of Nigerian musicians, he is the brain behind Sneaker Fest, an event which has been running for the past four years. SneakerFest encompasses arts, fashion, music, dance and sport.
Now in its seventh year, RBE Awards for Music Excellence and International Recognition, is a prestigious event dedicated to celebrating and honouring outstanding achievements within the emerging and global music industry. The maiden edition of RBE awards was held in 2017 at Light House in Shoreditch, London as a rewards system for artist that participated on the RBE Music Showcase platform within the year.
RBE Awards 2024 was organised by R.B.Entertainment Ltd in collaboration with Global Dady Ltd, the awards aim to recognise both emerging and established musical talent from around the world.
