Two Declared Wanted Over EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protests In Benin

The Edo State Police Command have declared two persons wanted in connection with the End Bad Governance protests known by the hashtags, #EndBadGovernance or EndBadGovernanceInNigeria, that took place in several parts of the country from 1st August to 10th August, 2024. The protests was triggered by the rising cost of living in the country.
The wanted persons, according to a police press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor are, Nosa Iyawe and Odoruyi Terry Evans.
According to the statement both wanted persons were the ring leaders behind the protests. They were alleged to be the mastermind behind the protests that halted commercial and others activities including the death of about five persons, during the ten days protests in Benin City, Edo State.
The state further stated that Nosa and Terry were allegedly been sponsored by agents and enemies of President Ahmed Tinubu’s led government. They were invited by the police to appear at the Command’s Headquarters on September 9, 2024, but they failed to honour the invitation.
According to the statement, Nosa Iyawe is forty-three years old, light in complexion, 5ft 10ins tall, Benin by tribe, speaks Benin and English languages fluently, and his last known address is No 23 Adams Eki Street, of Idogbo, upper Sokponba Road, Benin City Edo State. While Odoruyi Terry Evans, aged 51, dark in complexion, about 5ft 7ins tall, Benin by tribe, speaks Benin and English languages fluently his last known address is No.2 Erhabor Street, Off Upper Mission Extension, Aduwawa quarters Benin City, Edo State.
