Tosin Jegede to give free books to kids through NGOs

In its efforts at improving literacy level in Nigeria, an NGO, 1Child 1Book has concluded arrangements to provide books and stationeries to primary school children across Nigeria, most especially, those that cannot afford books.
This is coming as a result of a literacy sponsorship it secured from Small World UK & Ireland.
According to the brain behind the project, Ms Tosin Jegede, invitations are being extended to other NGOs or charity organisations in the country whose work focuses majorly on improving literacy in Nigerian primary schools.
“Due to the volume of material and increased work in the coming weeks, we are extending an invitation to other NGOs or charity organisations in Nigeria whose work focuses majorly on improving literacy in Nigerian primary schools. Interested parties should on or before Saturday September 10 contact 1Child 1Book by filling the online form,” she stressed.
An initiative of former child star’s Tosin Jegede Foundation, 1Child 1Book aims at putting a book in the hands of every Nigerian child in primary school, starting with Lagos State. The Foundation has received a Lagos State Partnership award for its efforts.
