Oba elect and attorney of Olarinde Ajoa Oluekun family, Alhaji Chief Babatunde Alade Olabrinde, has written to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode alleging threats to his life and attempted kidnapping by two persons, one Tunde Faduola and Deacon Daniel Onatamere.

In the letter made available to journalists in Lagos recently, Oba Olabrinde of Oguntedo town, Oriade Local Government Development Area, Satelite town, Badagry Express Way, Badagy said that he is hiding in Abeokuta presently because Faduola, who claimed to be working for Mr. Mike Okiro,  a former Inspector General of Police and one Mrs. Faduola, a retired police woman, are allegedly after his life.

He also said that one Barrister Cyril Ogbekene, their family lawyer on his great grandfather’s property against Deacon Onatamere, who is Chairman of the Landlord Association of their property in suit No. ID/94/88 before the adjudication of the case, is now the lawyer of the association.

Olabrinde further stated that he gave execution order to Faduola, which he failed to do so and he subsequently revoked the agreement signed by them. He added that Faduola took him to the police and later to court.

According to the Oba elect, Mrs. Faduola, known also as ‘Aunty Ayo Alagbon’, a retired police officer and wife of Faduola conspired and locked him up at Ogba Police Station and also at the State Command in Ikeja.

In his words, ”These people conspired together to eliminate me. I have been hiding since November 2015; I wrote a petition to the State Police Command but received no response.

“I also wrote to DSS, Shangisha and got no response. Faduola, also known as Mr. Tofeem, is the godson of Mike Okiro and has always boasted that no police formation in Lagos will investigate him if he kills me.”

The Oba elect appealed to the Lagos State Governor to investigate the matter thoroughly to save his life, adding that about 2,000 people are behind him.

When contacted on the phone, Mr. Tunde Faduola said that the case is still in court, but explained that Olarinde collected more than N68m from his hand, but declined to say what the money was paid for.

He also refused to comment on whether or not he was threatening the Oba, but simply said he was not interested in the matter.
