Suspected kidnapper nabbed in Ilorin

A suspected kidnapper was on Thursday, nabbed around Adewole area off Agbo Oba Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Angry mob who suspected the mode of dressing of the suspect, who disguised as mentally retarded person, attacked his victims and snatch their phones while claiming that he found the phone by the road side.

Speaking with our correspondent, the suspect who gave his name as Akeem Ibraheem said he actually dressed like masquerade in celebration of his family masquerade festival.

The suspect who resides at Aiyetoro area along Asa dam road was, however, handed over to B-division of the Kwara state police command.

Speaking on the development, the state police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ajayi Okasanmi said the matter would be investigated as expected, while appealing to Kwaran residents not to involve in jungle justice act which will eventually jeopardise investigation.
