Surprises Galore as PDP Loses Niger, Jigawa While Jonathan Wins in Nassarawa
Last Saturday’s presidential election has continued with its strings of surprising results across the country.
Niger State Governor, Alhaji Babangida Aliyu surprisingly lost his senatorial dream as the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) cleared the elections in the state.
Aliyu, chairman of the Northern Governors Forum was one of the PDP governors who had issues with the party and President Goodluck Jonathan over his second term shot at the Presidency. He alongside his Jigawa State counterpart, Sule Lamido later retraced their steps back into the PDP, promising to support Jonathan in their states.

Earlier in Bauchi, there had been reports that PDP chairman Adamu Muazu lost in his ward but he was quick to put on his twitter handle that contrary to reports, he delivered his ward and state to his party.
