Sole cause of infertility is fibroids, says expert

A medical expert Dr. Babatunde Oguniran has identified fibroids as the sole of cause of infertility, adding that it has plagued women not to conceive.

Oguniran who stated this at the second edition of Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation, tagged: Ma gbe temijo, explained that fibroids were the commonest benign tumors in the uterus.

He mentioned other causes of infertility which include obesity, early menarche, black race, null purity, lamenting that some women do not feel the sysmptom of this disease, hence it poses damage to them.

“If the semen, tubes and ovaries are tested okay, it might just be the fibroids alone and they could be located in inner layer where baby stay. The best form of treating it is before conception.” He said.

Speaking at the event, the founder, Mrs. Ibidunni Udaghalo lamented that the society does not help in assuaging the pressures but rather add salt to injuries of waiting mothers.

“To be honest, there is a stigma in our societies that have a way of labeling waiting mothers as barren and calling her fruitless, cursed and it is not easy to admit and come out for help because it really doesn’t want to add to your pain.

So when start referring to woman who she is not, it can be very painful.

“The pain a woman feels at that point is to get children; she can go anywhere, do anything and eat anything. It takes the grace of God to reject certain things.
