Six die in Katsina road accident

Six people have died, while one person was injured following a motor accident in Katsina State.

The accident, caused by over-speeding, involved a Sharon vehicle with registration number XA 241 KTN, occurred at 7p.m. on Friday, on the Dutsinma-Katsina road.

According to Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Abdul Sule, 12 people were involved in the accident, six were killed while one was injured.

The agency said that the injured was rushed to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano state, for treatment.

Sule however said policemen stationed around the area had carried out the rescue operation before his men arrived accident scene.

The incident is coming on the heels of an accident that saw a family of seven people who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident last month.
