Sen. Ekwunife congratulates Airpeace airline on maiden int’l flight to Dubai

Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has congratulated Airpeace Airlines, Nigeria’s largest domestic carrier, on the successful inception of their international flight route from Lagos Nigeria, to Dubai, UAE on Saturday, July 6, 2019.
Speaking to journalists at a reception organised by Airpeace at the arrival wing of Dubai International Airport Shajar, Senator Ekwunife said that her “joy knew no bounds as she was opportune to be part of this historic event.
“I am very proud of this remarkable achievement by Airpeace, as it shows their corporate doggedness and their determination to succeed in their business against all odds,” she stated.
Senator Ekwunife was one of the passengers on this maiden Airpeace flight from Nigeria to Dubai, and described her experience on the flight as “very pleasant, peaceful and convenient”.
She said: “The flight duration actually seemed shorter than all other flights I have taken to Dubai. Their prices are very competitive and affordable, and their services compare favourably with other international airlines.
Above all, I believe that as Nigerians, we have an obligation to patronise our own local businesses to enable them grow and be in business.
“One of the ways to discourage capital flight from Nigeria is to support our local businesses and encourage them to succeed in our difficult and competitive environment.
This is the reason why I decided to join Airpeace on this maiden flight, to support Airpeace, and stand in solidarity with them on this momentous occasion”.
While commending the management and staff of Airpeace for this “bold and progressive step” Senator Ekwunife urged all Nigerians to support airline in sustaining this novel initiative by making sure they henceforth fly with Airpeace whenever they are traveling to Dubai.
According to Senator Ekwunife, “Whoever flies Airpeace will find Peace”!
She also expressed her deep appreciation to former Governor Peter Obi for being consistent in supporting and encouraging local businesses in the country and thanked him for making out time to join in the flight in order to promote Airpeace and reassure passengers. She prayed for God’s protection on all passengers at all times.
Other notable personalities who were part of the event were former Governor of Anambra State and PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi; Chairman of Airpeace and his wife, Senators, lawmakers, top business men and women among others.
The passengers were received on arrival by the Nigeria’s Ambassador to United Arab Emirate (UAE), Mohammed Dansanta Rimi.
