Politician Caught with Over 500 PVC Escape Mob Attack in Ogbomoso

 

If not for the timely intervention of the Men of Nigerian Police force, a politician who was caught with over 500 Permanent voters card (PVC) would have been lynched by angry mob in Ogbomoso.

The incident which happened this morning around Sekoni area according to an eye witness saw politically inclined people and resident of the area attacking the suspect who occupied a Honda accord car with identification number AR 892 LUY.

It was reported that the police was alerted and their intervention saved the suspects from being lynched by irate residents, excluding the driver of the car who was still at large.

The policemen had to shoot sporadically into the air to scare the irate youths, who were bent on an instant judgement for the suspects.

Efforts by newsmen to get details from the police in Ogbomoso proved abortive as they declined comment.

Meanwhile the Director General of Alao Akala / Alli Campaign organization Dr Kola Balogun has called on the security agent in the state to ensure that the matter is investigated and the culprit bring to justice.

Dr Balogun in a press statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan said the people should be conscious of happening in their environments by not allowing disgruntled political element to disenfranchise them of their right to vote .

” We are aware of their ploy to cause mayhem and carry out several unholy activities in Ogbomoso and other stronghold of Alao Akala because they knew they cannot defeat him in the coming poll”.

The campaign organization also frown at the incessant attack on members of the labor Party by political opponent in the state , “last week some of our members were attacked in ogbomoso and last night a candidate of the house of assembly in Afijio local government was attacked also.
