Plateau CP talks tough, parade 32 suspected criminals

The Plateau State Police Commissioner, Mr Peter Ogunyanwo, has said that Plateau State will no longer be a safe haven for hoodlums as his command will not spare any criminal activity in the state.

Parading 32 suspected criminals, Mr. Ogunyanwo, said they were arrested within
the space of one month, since he assumed office as CP in the State.

He said their offenses ranged from culpable homicide, armed robbery, theft, to other crimes.

“The command has observed in recent times the new trend of crimes being perpetrated in Plateau, particularly in Jos metropolis.

“In attempt to arrest this ugly situation, the command has employed different strategies and workable security measures to curtail this ugly turn of event.

“The security apparatus and architecture firmly emplaced has yielded a lot of results.

“In the last one month, we have arrested 32 suspected criminals and so many property were recovered,” the Commissioner said.

He assured that the suspects would be charged to court soon.

The CP called on the public to report any suspected movements within their vicinity and also support the police and other security agencies in their bid to secure lives and property in the state.
