A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Chief Ibrahim Babatunde Olorogun –Etti on Monday called on the people of South- West to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 general election.
“President Goodluck Jonathan is the best man for the job. He knows the needs of the people and he is providing those needs” he said in a statement issued after an emergency meeting of leading politicians in Lagos Island.
Chief Olorogun-Etti, former vice chairman, PDP Lagos Central, commended the presidential candidate of the ruling party for pursuing justice, providing health care and education, developing agriculture, remodeling airports to international standard and transforming the railway system in the country.
The former member, Board of Directors of the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) praised the president for the development of democratic culture and stable polity, for giving beneficial leadership in the country and rekindling the specific interest of the business community in Nigeria and the general interest of the international community in the development of the Nigerian State as well as the creation of jobs for the people.
“President Goodluck Jonathan deserves second term for being a team player and for ensuring speedy development of the country,” he said.
Stressing that APC will plunge Nigeria, particularly Lagos State into deep crisis, Olorogun –Etti says “General Muhammadu Buhari does not deserve the vote of the South- West people”
“Should the people vote him for jailing their leaders? Should they vote him for not developing the zone?”
He however urged PDP leaders, especially Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, Ayodele Fayose, Gbenga Daniel, Olabode George, Adeseye Ogunlewe and others to deliver south-west votes to President Goodluck Jonathan, Jimi Agbaje and other PDP candidates.
