Ondo APC tells newly appointed political aides to see their position as call to service

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state has asked the newly appointed political aides to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu not to see their position of office as rewards for loyalty but a call to service to their fatherland.
The party made the call on Tuesday while congratulating the trio of ex- member of the House of Representatives, Ifedayo Abegunde as the Secretary to the state government, Olugbenga Ale as Chief of Staff to the governor, and Tosin Ogunbodede, as Chief of Protocol.
In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya to journalists in Akure, said the appointment of Abegunde nd to her political aides was well deserved.
Adesanya said the trio must discharge their service in government with diligence and of total commitment and submission without fear or favour.
“On behalf of the party, congratulate you on this appointment, I pray that God will grant you success in your new assignment.
“Your impressive pedigree and antecedents confirm you will succeed in this capacity to the benefit of the good people of Ondo state.
Daily Times reported that Governor Akeredolu had on Monday appointed Mr. Jones Ogunmusire as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) tothe Governor on Administration and Policy Planning; Rt. Hon. Taofeek Olawale Abdusalam, SSA on egislative Matters; Kunle Adebayo, SSA on Research and Documentation; Engr. Raheem Olayiwola Aminu, SSA on Infrastructure; Dr. Doyin Odebowale, SSA on Special Duties and Strategy; and Bola Alabi, Deputy Chief of Protocol.
The appointment was announced by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye.
The party has, however, also appreciated Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for painstakingly choosing the men describing them as ’round pegs in round holes.’
