Old women torture LGBTQ member in Lagos

By Joy Okoye
There is an adage that says every day is for the thief but one day is for the owner of property.
This is as a result of an incident that happened in October 3, 2021 where a group of old women invaded an apartment and beat one Miss Adetola Idiat Adetunji who engaged in bisexual activities in Lagos with her friend named Titilope Ajayi.
The women see the act as an abomination and also against the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which is punishable under the law and such a person can be arrested and prosecuted by law enforcement agents such as police authority.
In order to know the current situation of the issue, one of our reporters went back to the area to know the update of the incident. It was gathered that Miss Adetola Idiat Adetunji has been engaging in the act since her secondary school days.
They also have their male members around Lagos and other parts of the country. The information gathered by our correspondent from her neigbours shows that Miss Adetola Idiat Adetunji’s secret was leaked out to these women by her confidant who was surprised by her act for recent bisexual relationship with her female friend and was beaten by these group of women but was rescued by a man after much pleading.
Adetola sexual orientation had contravened the law because it was not in consonance with constitution of Nigeria. While disassociating themselves from the attempt of their neighbour (Adetola) from the bisexual allegation, the residents announced that they have not set their eyes on her and her fiancé since the allegation was levelled against her in October 2021 and all efforts to find her proved abortive.

Her community members also disowned her for planning to violate the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria while her female friend, Miss Titilope Ajayi had run away and no one knows her whereabouts.
However, our reporter gathered from one of the residents that Adetola Idiat Adetunji had run for her dear life and relocated out of the country for fear of being attacked again by members of the community.
Also, her bisexual partner, Miss Titilope Ajayi is nowhere to be found as no one knows her in the area.
According to one of the police officers who insisted on remaining anonymous, he said since her family has failed in their responsibility to train their daughter and prevented her against the illicit acts, the police authority will not fold their arms and allow the issue to escalate to the entire community due to the fact that LGBTQ orientation violates the law of Nigeria.
Our reporter was informed that police authority had intervened in the matter after the incident and they are looking for her and her associate, Miss Titilope Ajayi, but both were nowhere to be found as at the time of this report.
