Olatunji commends Sidmach impact on e-Government, pledges NITDA support

Dr. Vincent Olatunji, acting director general of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has commended Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited for its outstanding contributions towards the e-government development in the country.

Olatunji, made the remark during a recent courtesy visit to Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited, stressing the Agency’s readiness to partner with Sidmach on its programmes.

Daily Times recounts that Sidmach has received commendations for its role at various fora on the development of the e-Curriculum portal project, a unique technological solution with a bold step toward achieving the Federal government’s policy on Information Technology in Education.

Mr. Peter Arogundade, managing director, Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited who led the Executive and Management Team in welcoming the Acting DG NITDA to Sidmach head office, noted that it was the first time NITDA’s DG will be visiting the organisation.

Responding, the NITDA Boss said, “I am very pleased to be in Sidmach and I appreciate the fact that the company is making tremendous contributions across the various e-Government platforms”.

He affirmed that the Agency will continue to work with Sidmach in areas of youth empowerment and capacity building particularly with the present focus on economy diversification via IT which he believes will generate income for Nigeria.

According to him, the assurance that an indigenous company could be trusted to deliver on major national projects is quite comforting.

An elated Arogundade enthused that Sidmach strongly believe that the Nigerian IT market has great potentials and will become a point of reference across Africa and the world, stressing that   they would seek the continuous support of the Agency to create policies and opportunities for the growth of indigenous companies.

SIDMACH, he assured will deliver on commitments and projects given to the organisation to execute and reaffirmed the company’s support towards the actualization of various goals and projects of NITDA.
