Ogboru: We will make PDP history in DeltaOgboru: We will make PDP history in Delta

Governorship candidate of the Labor Party (LP) in the 2015 poll, Chief Great Ogboru has spoken of the rot of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State in the last 16 years saying with his coming on board the All Progressives Congress (APC), they would chase out PDP in the state
Ogboru formally joined the ruling APC along other heavy weight in the state at a ceremony in Abuja on Tuesday.
Ogboru who was received by the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party at the party secretariat in Abuja pledged to work assiduously to ensure the success of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration and also deliver the party in Delta come 2019.
Blaming 16 years of PDP for the rot in both Nigeria and Delta State, Ogboru expressed optimism that the APC would upstage the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration in Delta State in 2019.
His words: “I am not here because I want to be with any government in power. My mission is similar to that of Mr. President. We have always had many things in common. We have always been agents of change. Mr. President is the kind of person we want to identity with and that is why I have joined the APC. I am in full support of his resolve to reorient our values for the better and I am in support of his anti corruption posture, as he is here to change the value of Nigerians. We shall not tolerate corruption in Delta State. The 16 years of PDP was a waste at the state and at the centre”.
Among chieftains of the party that accompanied Ogboru were the Delta APC governorship candidate in the last general elections, Chief Omerhor Ortega, and rights activist, Chief Frank Kokori. Also there were former Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Victor Ochei, Sir Olisa Emeka Akamukali and dozens of chieftains of the Laboor and Accord parties in Delta State.
Oyegun who described the development as one of the happiest moments of his life also described Ogboru as a member of the APC who chose to take his time to join the league of progressives in the party.
