3SC head coach Edith Agoye has praised his side performance after they bounce back from opening day defeat to secure a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Delta Force on Monday.
The Oluyole Warriors struggled to cope with the creativity of the Delta boys in the first half but delivered a masterclass performance in the second half and scored twice through Ayobami Junior in the 55th minute
and Opeoluwa Olufemi in the 90th minute to revive their hope of returning to the Nigeria professional football league, next season.
Agoye in his post-match presser praised his boys who delivered a different performance from the 3-0 loss to Remo Stars on Sunday.
“I feel better despite the loss yesterday. It was game on today and we won 2-0,” Agoye told the media.
“We are very happy . It was like we were out yesterday but today we have another leg inside,”
“Our game is to dominate the opponents we face but Delta Force were a very technical side and while playing against them one must do so with restraint. We were very happy we were able to match them skills for skills and techniques for techniques and at the end of the day we utilized our chances.”
3SC will now take on Bendel insurance in their final game and a victory is all that is needed to give them a comfortable chance of passage into the elite division and Agoye said he’s aware of the task ahead
“We are going to play our final game with all we have while hoping that we are going to get the result that will take us to the NPFL.”
