Nkiru Olumide-Ojo berths at Stanbic/IBTC

Hers has been a long journey in the world of public relations, market­ing and communications. Having cut her teeth in brand communication, it was only a matter of time before she became a big fish within the corpo­rate and social world.

Her job at Vir­gin Nigeria where her word was law, gave her this leeway. Unfortunately, her stay there didn’t quite last as she threw in the towel owing to the down­turn in the financial fortunes of the airline.

Her social life equally took a down turn as she chose to shun the  klieg lights, preferring to concentrate on nurturing her then new found assign­ments; Olivia Ethan Communications, a PR firm she founded, from where she moved to Bharti Airtel Nigeria, as head of brand communication and later to Forte oil. Just when many thought she had reached her comfort zone, as Forte oil company’s head of corporate communications, slim and leggy Nkiru, moved again. This time to Stanbic IBTC Holdings as head of marketing and communication, a position she has been holding since September 2013
