Hakeem Kae Kazim, Nigerian Actor from 24 and Black Sails, reads the poem in this video, written by Nkiru Asika-National Press Club of America Award-Winner, during the occasion of the global launch of The Nigeria Our Heritage (NOH) Project at the prestigious Kennedy Center, in Washington DC in August 2014.

The NOH Project is a positive perception movement for Nigeria, founded by Publisher of Daily Times, Mr. Fidelis Anosike.

In a bid to use information and culture to drive a positive perception of the Nigerian People, Mr. Anosike conceived the NOH project five years ago.

Towards this end, The Federal Ministry of Information and Culture signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in February 2017, for the production of a grand book titled “Publication of Nigeria: Our Heritage Book (National Souvenir).”

The grand book has been termed as a unique souvenir from Nigeria to the outside world.

“Going through the pictures, every page of this Grand Book is a delight. Every page of it is part of our history and what defines us as a unique country. As a matter of fact, you are not going to recognize some of these places are even in Nigeria.

“That’s why I think there can be no greater gift from Nigeria to the outside world or ourselves than this Grand Book. We will strive as much as possible, at least in our ministry, to make this the official gift. We will try and persuade the Presidency to also make this their official gift,” The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said at the MoU signed recently.
