Nigeria Can Provide 50% of Africa’S Seafarers by 2020 – NIMASA
Mr Felix Bobnabena, the Director, Administration and Personnel, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has tipped Nigeria to provide 50 per cent of Africa’s requirement of seafarers by 2020.
Bobnabena speaking in Lagos stressed that the maritime sector held immense potential to employ Nigerian youths, citing the nation’s 853 km coastline.
He said that with a population strength of 170million, mostly youths, Nigerians can excel in maritime careers and will be in demand worldwide.
