Nasarawa dep. governor guns for KFN top job

Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Mr. Silas Ali Agara, has declared his intention to vie for the office of President of the Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN).
Agara made his intention known in a press statement he personally signed and issued to members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN) Monday in Lafia.
He promised to bridge the gap of sponsorship, training and consistent exposure of karatakers by ensuring their participation at major competitions at the local, sub-regional, continental and international levels.
Agara said that as a seasoned sports administrator he would bring his wealth of experience to bear to re-position the Karate Federation for improved performance if elected.
The deputy governor, who is the Pillar of Sports in the state therefore, called on delegates ahead of June 13 elections to support his aspiration by voting him as president for KFN.
He observed that the fortunes of the Federation is a cause for concern, hence the need to effect the desired change both in the leadership of the federation.
Agara commended the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports for ensuring that a level playing ground is provided for the conduct of elections into all the Sports Federations in the country.
