NAPTAN decries falling standard of education in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Chapter of the National Parent Teacher Association of Nigeria (NAPTAN) has decried the falling standard of education in the state.
Umaru Ebenya, State Chairman of NAPTAN, spoke on Wednesday in his presentation to the state Traditional Council in Lafia.
According to him, the standard of education in the state public schools kept falling everyday to the extent that most secondary school leavers can hardly make a good sentence.
“Most primary six pupils and graduates of secondary schools in the state cannot speak English fluently, which calls for serious concern,” he said.
Ebenya said that if the traditional council do not intervene urgently, the situation would get out of control.
