Media Education: Ace Radio Presenter Riume Efetie Joins WABMA

In an exciting development for media education, the West Africa Broadcast and Media Academy (WABMA) has announced the appointment of Mr. Riume Efetie as the Assistant Registrar for Business Development at its Lagos training center.

With over three decades of professional experience, Efetie brings a wealth of knowledge to the academy, further solidifying its commitment to excellence in media training.

A statement signed by the registrar, WABMA, Joe Obaru Esq, and made available to Daily Times, says, Dr. Ken Ike Okere, the Rector of WABMA, expressed enthusiasm about Efetie’s arrival, stating, “One more very experienced veteran has joined WABMA to consolidate our expansion. His decades of experience as a presenter and teacher will help deepen our penetration in Lagos and the entire southwest region.”

Mr. Efetie, a former esteemed presenter with Radio Nigeria, has also served as a broadcast presentation teacher and elocution consultant. He is passionate about giving back to the profession that shaped his career and is eager to contribute to WABMA’s mission. “This new role opens the door to new challenges; I am delighted to be part of such a talented team at WABMA,” he shared.

WABMA offers a variety of short and long certificate courses across multiple campuses in Nigeria, covering essential topics like journalism, public relations, and digital content creation. With Efetie on board, the academy is poised to enhance its offerings and impact on aspiring media professionals.
