Man Dies After Mob Attack Over Indecent Act As Partner Escapes Death
Pandemonium erupted in Evbuotubu community when on July 26th 2023 some unsuspecting youths caught two males in the act of same-sex practice in an uncompleted building as one of the male suspects reportedly escaped being lynched.
It was gathered that the two male suspects whose names were given as Eghosa Ojo and Osarodion Imafidon were severely beaten up by a crowd of angry mob who brazenly unleashed terror on them for desecrating the community.
An eye-witness who preferred annonymity said the two males were spotted by some youths playing football in a nearby field in the community when suddenly the two male suspects walked into an uncompleted building to carry out the sacrilegious act.
According to other sources, the youths in the community, unknown to the two male suspects, laid ambush where they immediately rounded up the two males after it was understood that they attempted to avoid prying eyes by opting for a remote and secluded place.
It was however understood that one of male suspects, Osarodion Imafidon managed to escape through the window as he immediately dashed off into a nearby bush .
As the fleeing Osarodion Imafidon was being chased after by the angry mob, others held onto his partner Eghosa Ojo who had mercilessly been beaten up into coma before the late arrival of the police as the chasing crowd of youths lost the fleeing member of the duo, it was gathered.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the bleeding Eghosa Ojo, who was rescued by the police from grip of the irate mob by the police firing canisters of tear-gas to disperse the crowd, was later confirmed dead and his corpse later deposited in a local morgue.
Confirmed reports in Evbuotubu community revealed that the family of the deceased Eghosa Ojo vowed to go after the fleeing Osarodion Imafidon as he was responsible for luring the deceased into the abominable act which tragically ended his life.
A statement by the police in Edo State disclosed that a case of same-sex practice between two males namely Osarodion Imafidon and Eghosa Ojo in an uncompleted building on July 26th,2023 was under investigation.

It further stated that one of the two males, Eghosa Ojo tragically died from a violent mob action while the other, Osarodion Imafidon was reported to have escaped before the arrival of the police.
The statement urged members of the public with useful information on the whereabouts of the fleeing Osarodion Imafidon to report same at a nearby police station for a handsome financial reward as Osaorodion Imafidon is wanted for breaching relevant provision of the Same-sex Prohibition Act 2013 which stipulates a minimum of 10 years imprisonment.
