Man cries out as alleged drug Barron unleashes mayhem on family

The Ekoh family in Ihe Awgu local government Area of Enugu state Nigeria has cried out over a persistent attack on them by a suspected drug lord, Identified as jimmy.

Our correspondent gathered that trouble started after one Mr. Jimmy facilitated the Europe travel of Ekoh Martin Ikenna on the 29th day of December 2023.

Like many other innocent young Nigerians who fall victims of such antics, it was when Ekoh Martin Ikenna arrived in Europe that he discovered he was to be used by a drug cartel.

His younger brother, Ekoh Chukwunonso Anthony who survived a deadly attack by members the cartel at their family house on 4th day of December 2024,told our correspondent that he escaped death by the whiskers.

Ekoh chukwunonso Anthony disclosed that they stormed our house and said they were looking for my elder brother Ekoh Martin ikenna, that they sponsored his trip to Europe but he escaped upon getting there.

“I told them that i have not seen nor had from my elder brother Ekoh Martin ikenna since he traveled.

‘They said it was not true, ‘the next thing was that they started hitting me from every angle.

It was while I was shouting, crying and begging for my dear life that neighbors called the attention of the community vigilantes and upon that they took to their heels.

“However they have been sending me threatening massages, vowing to kill me if they don’t see my elder brother Ekoh Martin Ikenna.

When our correspondent asked if he reported the matter to the police, Ekoh chukwunonso Anthony said that the matter took another dimension when the police told him that jimmy reported that his elder brother Ekoh Martin Ikenna was indebted to him.

“I submitted a petition to the state police command, but upon my arrival, I learned that Jimmy was seemingly everywhere. I was informed that he had earlier reported that my elder brother, Ekoh Martin Ikenna, had taken his money..

All my efforts to explain the true situations to them hit a brick wall. It is obvious they have been compromised because jimmy is very connected and spends hard currencies anyhow.

“My elder brother Ekoh Martin Ikenna did not and will never take anybody’s money unlawfully including jimmy.

Ikenna does not want to involve himself in hard drug deals.

“As it stands, I can’t even go to my village again.

I have gone into hiding because I don’t know when they will strike again, he Lamented.
