Man 23, rapes five years old girl

The Lagos State Police Command have launched a manhunt for a 23- year- old man identified as Sukumi Akinsasu for raping a five-year-old girl (name withheld) in the Ikotun area of Lagos.

It was gathered that although Akinsasu had defiled the survivor sometime in August, the mother of the survivor (name withheld) who only discovered days later had alerted the Ikotun Police Division to the matter.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the mother of the survivor had left the girl at home in the care of the landlady to go somewhere, when Akinsasu who runs a barbing saloon around the area pounced on the girl through the virgina and anus.

When called to confirm the incident, the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti did not respond. A message was also sent to him on the matter which he simply responded, ‘I confirm’.
