Legislative aide bags leadership awards

A legislative aide to the Senate President, at the National Assembly, Abuja, Alhaja Khadijat Ibrahim Olatinwo, has bagged an award from State University of New York, Albany, USA, on Good Governance in Leadership and conferment of the Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration. (Honoris Causa).

The Leaders and Policy administrator was enjoined to imbibe the Spirit of team work and collaboration with other sectors, in order to move the continent forward.

The statement was made by the State University of New York, Albany, USA, by Dr. Babajia Mohammed Bide, while delivering a lecture titled, “Leadership and Good Governance as Essential tools for sustainable Growth and development in-African- A case Study of Nigeria” in Oak Plaza Hotel, Accra in Ghana on 20th May, 2017.

The University guest lecturer, said the market in Africa is wide enough and sustainable to excel and an environment conducive enough for leaders in Africa to move the continent forward if the spirit of team work, Judicious management of resources and collaboration with other private sector is imbibed.

During the program, Alhaja Khadijat Ibrahim opined that humility, dedication, focus, and judicious use of resources and the instruments that the leaders can use to excel.

Also, one of the awardees, Dr. (Mrs.) Aishatu Ngulde, a former executive secretary, Borno State, Said that Africa Continent is blessed with abundant tourist centres and cultural arte fact.

She said if the two sectors are explored the Africa Continent will be far better than the European continent.
Among those that were Honoured at the event are: The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Grand father of the day, Dr. Abdulfatahi Ahmed Megida, Grand Special Guest of Honour, Hon. Justice (Prof) Abdul fatayi Demola Kuti, Professor Lambe Adeyemi, Africa Deputy Coordinator, Prince, (Dr.) Mashood Adeshola, A Sulu-Gambari (FSFAI), and HRH Alhaji (Dr) Shaban Audu (MZAZOUI) Etsu of KWALI, FCT, Abuja and others from South West Zone.
