Lagos Speaker fumes over kidnap of monarch

Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has described the kidnap of a first class Oba in the state, Oba Yishau Goriola Oseni, the Oniba of Iba by armed men, as shameful and disgraceful.
The Speaker said the efforts of the state government on security should be recognized, wondering how security of the people of the state cannot still be guaranteed in spite of the efforts of the state government.
“The state government spent a lot of money to provide equipment for the state police command yet all these are happening. It means what we have done is futile,” Obasa said.
