Kidnapped Taraba lawmaker found dead
A member of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon Hosea Ibi, who was earlier kidnapped by unknown gunmen, has been found dead.
The lifeless body of the lawmaker was found on Monday, 16 days after he was kidnapped by his abductors.
The lawmaker, who represented Takum 1 Constituency in the State Assembly, was reportedly whisked away by three gunmen on the night of December 31, 2017.
The gunmen were said to have arrived in Ibi’s mother’s residence in Takum in two motorcycles that night.
Incidentally, Takum is also the hometown of Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku

The Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Mr David Misal, confirmed the development on Monday.
According to him, lawmaker’s body was discovered by some residents on Monday afternoon Kashim Dira Road in Takum local government area of the state.
He said, “We are still working on that (any arrests and attempts to find the culprits). We will make sure that the culprits are brought to hook. So we are working.”
