The Kebbi State Governor his Senator Atiku Bagudu has released the sum of N2.5 billion for the payments of the outstanding gratuities and death benefits across the state, local governments and primary school teachers.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Muazu Dakin Gari.
According to the statement the second batch of the payment will be hundred percent and will cover January 2017,however the state ministry of finance promised fast release of the funds to ensure every retiree gets his money on time.
It will be recalled that, the leader of retirees Babangida Garba Gwandu was allegedly detained last week on the order of government for mounting pressure on the government to settle the huge debt of gratuities, he is now confirmed release by the police.
