Kano to revitalize tourism sector to great job, generate Income

The Chairman Tourism Master Plan Review Committee set up by the Kano state government to proffer solution on how to revive the tourist sector in the State Imam Ahmad Zubair, mni has disclosed that the state government has concluded plan to revitalize the State tourist sector with the view to create job opportunities as well as generate more income for the state.
The Chairman made this known on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ forum which took place at the Board’s conference room.
Zubair stated that the committee has gone round the state, accessed the present condition of tourist sites in the state and have come up with series of suggestions on how the state government can develop such cites to meet up with modern standard.
He said that the ancient city of Kano is blessed with historical cites for century which is properly developed will serve as a means of creation and a major source of revenue generation for the state government citing the popular Kano Sallah Durba as an example of festivals which could attract thousands of viewers to the state.
According to him, the Ganduje administration is committed to creating new opportunities for the youths in the State to be employed also the revitalization of the tourist sector will go a long way to attract investors to the state.
