Kalu’s defection to APC, an asset to Igbo – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha, Governor of Imo State has described the entry of the former governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, into the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a big asset to the party and the people of the South East geo-political zone.
The Governor who said this on Monday in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, regretted that he (Okorocha) was alone in the zone glavanising Igbo political leaders in the South-East geo-political zone to join APC, but ended up not only being blackmailed but was called all sorts of names, said that he has been vindicated with Kalu’s entry into the party.
It would be recalled that the former Abia State Governor last week resigned his membership from Progressive Peoples Alliance(PPA) and joined APC.
Okorocha observed that with Kalu joining him in APC, they would jointly develop Igbo land on the platform of the ruling party. He therefore advised other frontline politicians in the South-East to follow Kalu’s footstep.
