Insecurity: Unknown gunmen kill two persons in Bauchi

Police in Bauchi have confirmed the killing of two people by unknown gunmen.

The police in a press statement signed by its spokesman Ahmed Wakil, described the incident as unfortunate, which resulted in the death of 45-year-old Police Inspector Mukhtar Ibrahim and a 33-year-old civilian, Uba Samaila, who was hit by a bullet, but later died at the Abubakar Tafawabalewa Teaching Hospital, while receiving treatment.

According to the police, normalcy has returned to the area as citizens are carrying out their normal businesses.

The Bauchi State Police Commissioner Sylvester Abiodun has ordered a full-scale investigation of the matter.
