INEC includes all parties in supplementary election in Taraba

The Taraba State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Umar Muktar Gajiram has emphatically declared that all the political parties that participated in the February 3, 2024 by-election in the State will be contesting in the February 14, 2024 supplementary election.
A press statement signed and issued to Journalists in Jalingo by the All Progressive Congress (APC) Publicity Secretary, Hon. Aaron Artimas said Umar Muktar Gajiram informed a meeting of the concerned Parties that contrary to the Commission’s previous announcement that only the PDP and SDP Candidates will contest the Supplementary Election slated for February 14, 2024.
The Statement added that all the Parties will contest the elections in the 10 Registration Areas and 24 Polling Units, where the elections were cancelled.

It added that the Commissioner of Police and the Director DSS, have assured provision of a secured level playing ground to ensure hitch free Supplementary elections.
