Hoodlums attack corps members in Delta
Rampaging hoodlums operation in Delta State communities, on Tuesday, night allegedly attacked corpers deployed Beach Secondary School, Koko Community, Warri North Local Government Area of the State and carted away estimated sum of N75, 000 and several handsets.
Reports said the hoodlums gained entrance into the coppers’ lodge right inside the school premises after they had allegedly disarmed the security guards at the gate and compelled to frog jumps, while their operation lasted.
It was reliably gathered that the hoodlums numbering over ten, allegedly swooped on the corps members said to be fast asleep at gun point and ordered them to surrender their money and handsets.
Sources said the attack on the coppers may not be unconnected with a threat allegedly handed down by a male student of the school who was punished by one of corpers during class activities for his disciplined.
But the police in Koko Division, said that they were on top of the situation, adding that some of the students suspected to have ignited the act, were presently being interrogated.
