Google to train 270 Adamawa state Youths on ICT

World renowned Information and communication Technology (ICT) company, Google, is to train over 270 Adamawa state youths in various aspects of ICT by April this year.
The state coordinator of poverty alleviation and wealth creation, Alhaji Ayuba, revealed to a group of Journalists in Yola that the programme would involve talented youths cutting across the 21 local government areas in the state.
He extolled the state governor for having a special package programmes that will empower the youths and women of the state which is aimed at reducing the scourge of poverty in the state.
“As you are aware, the state is having the best skills acquisition centres in the country and efforts are in top gear to revive the centres in the state to be training youths to acquire training in handset repairs, computer repairs, automobile engineering, beads making, art and craft.”
Ayuba also said that his office had already trained more than 160 youths sponsored by a foreign company and assured that the state government has declared a state of emergency on youth empowerment.
