GIHAA Launches, Urges Alumni and Public to Join Forces

In a major stride toward fostering stronger alumni ties and community development, the Great Independence Hall Alumni Association (GIHAA) has officially been inaugurated. The association, tied to the historic Great Independence Hall of the University of Ibadan, promises to serve as a bridge connecting past graduates with one another and with current students.

Speaking at the launch event, GIHAA President Omotola Ifafore emphasized the association’s vision of collective growth and lasting impact.
“Our mission is rooted in the belief that through collective endeavor and mutual commitment, we can achieve a substantial and lasting impact,” Ifafore said.

GIHAA has outlined a vibrant agenda that invites all alumni and the general public to engage through various initiatives, including:

Networking Events: Designed to foster professional connections and mentorship among members.

As part of its first major project, GIHAA will donate a new Public Address System to the Great Independence Hall student body. This contribution aims to improve communication and participation during hall activities and events, reinforcing the hall’s legacy of excellence and unity.

“In concert, we can cultivate a dynamic and supportive community that truly exemplifies the spirit of Great Independence Hall,” Ifafore added.

Alumni and supporters eager to contribute or participate are encouraged to connect with GIHAA through their website www.gihaa.org or via WhatsApp at +00913475414196.
