Foundation Distributes Food Items to Widows, Vulnerable Groups in Kwara

Ayobola Ipinlaiye, former Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kwara Chapter, has distributed food items to widows, people living with disabilities and other indigent groups in the state.

Speaking with newsmen at the event in Ilorin, Ipinlaiye, who is the Founder of Help Women Foundation, described the outreach as “Second Round 2.0” organised to support vulnerable groups during the holy months of Ramadan and Lent.

She explained that the foundation had earlier distributed food items to 50 persons living with disabilities across the state, adding that the second phase was specifically targeted at widows within the community.

In her remarks, Prophetess Iyabo Ayodele, Coordinator of Ayomoro Widows Group in Kwara, expressed gratitude to the Help Women Foundation for the gesture.

She noted that many widows in the group were indigent and required support following the loss of their breadwinners.

Ayodele prayed for the continued success of the foundation in impacting lives and urged other well-meaning individuals and organisations to support vulnerable members of society.

Items distributed included rice, millet, guinea corn and semovita, among others.
