FG appoints new provosts for FCE Katsina, Obudu
The Federal Government has announced the appointment of Dr. James Bassey Ejue and Dr. Aliyu Idris Funtua as the new Provosts of Federal College of Education Obudu, Cross River State and Federal College of Education, Katsina, Katsina State, respectively.
A press stamen which was signed by the Deputy Director, Press, in the Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Goong, said the appointments are with effect from August 19, 2016 and for a first term of 4 years subject to renewal for a second term.
He further disclosed that their conditions of service, including remunerations and fringe benefits shall be as approved for Provosts in Federal Colleges of Education in the country.
Dr. Ejue, 52, holds a Doctorate Degree in Guidance and Counseling in 2003 from the University of Calabar. Until this appointment, he was the Provost of the Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa.
Dr. Funtua, 56, holds a PhD in Hausa Language from the Bayero University Kano, in 2015.
Funtua was the acting Provost of the institution before his new appointment.
