Federal Fire Services establishes Northeast zonal office in Yola

The Federal Fire Service has established its Northeast zonal office in Yola to bring safety closer the people.

The new Commander of the zone, Mr. Dauda Kaze, confirmed the development to newsmen in Yola.

Kaze said that the development was also in line with the Federal Government effort towards building capacity of states fire services and personnel in the region.

“The North East Zone is established to extend professionalism in fire control and safety as well as to impact positively and effectively in safety control and management,” Kaze said.

He explained that the zonal office would serve as center of excellent where many officers from the zone would be trained on fire control and prevention among others.

Kaze confirmed that the office was established in Aug. 2016 and urged the beneficiary states to give maximum cooperation to the zonal office for betterment and protection of lives and property of their citizens.

Its reports that the zonal office based in Yola would also have offices in Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Yobe and Taraba States respectively.
