My father not for sale at any cost, says Braithwaite’s daughter

The first daughter of the late elder statesman and legal luminary, Tunji Braithwaite, Dr. Omowunmi Braithwaite, has paid glowing tributes to her late father, describing him as a man whose footsteps would be impossible to fill.
Speaking at his residence, on Victoria Island, on Wednesday, when Governor Akinwunmi Ambode paid the family a courtesy call to express his condolence, Omowunmi, who spoke on behalf of the family, thanked Ambode for finding time to commiserate with them in this trying moment despite his busy schedule.
“I want to thank His Excellency for finding time out of his busy schedule to come and commiserate with us. We are highly grateful for this. My father’s footsteps will always be impossible to fill, considering the kind of life he lived and the legacy he left.
“He was a fearless man, God- fearing, always raising the bar and not up for sale at any costs. He was unwavering in his disposition and was one who stood by what he believed in. My father would never compromise on standards he believed to be right and true. I can clearly say he would go down as one of the greats this nation has produced and his demise is, indeed, a great loss,” she said.
