Ex-FERMA Chief, Jide Adeniji joins Osun guber race

Former Chairman, Governing Board of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Engr. Ezekiel Olajide Adeniji has joined the 2018 governorship race in Osun State.

Engr. Adeniji is contesting the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

As part of his preparedness to contest for the governorship post, the aspirant has released his posters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital and other major cities in the state.

Speaking in a telephone interview with The Daily Times yesterday, Engr. Adeniji said he decided to run for the governorship race to right the wrongs perpetrated by the APC-led administration in the State, in the last eight years.

He said that he was fully prepared to deliver good governance characterized with transparency, prudence and due process which are the features needed for dividends of democracy, stressing that his Integrity Share Agenda which includes Security, Housing, Agriculture, Rural Infrastructure and Education would be strictly addressed if given opportunity to serve.

The civil engineer turned Politician also assured the electorate that if elected his administration would share with people their burdens, joys and every other things with committed spirit, adding that he would do everything within his power to encourage people to speak out their minds for the leadership to appreciate their problems for possible solution.

He said that his reason to be on the race is not borne out of what he would get, but due to his desire and inspiration from God to lead and improve the condition of things in the state.

The former FERMA boss also maintained that the idea of zoning formula clamoured for by some people, was not only uncalled for but was a mere derailment from true democratic settings and norms, which he noted would not augur well for our political system.
