Emir Sulu-Gambari congratulates DCP Yusuf, Nurudeen on promotion to CP rank

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has rejoiced with the DCP Yusuf Ajape Abdullateef and DCP Nurudeen Raheem on their promotion to the rank of Commissioners Of Police.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari described their elevation as a call to higher services to the nation as responsive and responsible Police Officers with unwavering commitments to the protection of lives and property of Nigerian populace.

This is contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Emir’s spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that, “I sincerely thank the authority of the Nigeria Police under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission for finding two prominent sons of Ilorin Emirate worthy of the enviable rank of Commissioner of Police.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also extended his goodwill message to newly promoted Police Officers across the nation and urged them to remain steadfast and dedicated to the unity of the country in the discharge of their duties.

He further described the duo of CPs Yusuf Ajape Abdullateef and Nurudeen Raheem as outstanding security experts who have used the previous positions held in the Nigeria Police to provide absolute protection and upholding the sanctity of detrabilised service to the nation.

The monarch however advised them to remain hardworking in order to reflect the good conducts and patriotism inherent in them as good ambassadors of the Ilorin Emirate, proud Nigerians and global citizens of high repute.

He prayed Almighty Allah to grant them the wisdom and absolute protection to discharge their duties diligently for the good of the people and government of Nigeria.
