Ekiti guber: Fayemi, APC hire 35 lawyers

Governor-elect of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, on Wednesday, filed his defence before the state governorship election petition tribunal in response to the petition filed by the outgoing Deputy Governor of Ekiti State and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kolapo Olusola Eleka.
In the 2,558-page defence with over 3,000 documents as exhibits, Fayemi averred that he won the gubernatorial election of July 14, and urged the tribunal to dismiss the petition filed by Eleka for lacking in merit.
His team of 35 lawyers armed with 3,500 exhibits and 1,009 witnesses were led to the tribunal by Hakeem AfoIabi (SAN), Yomi Aliyu (SAN) and Kayode Olatoke (SAN).
