Delta Police rescue seven-year-old Kidnapped child, apprehend 22 others for various offences

The Delta State Police Command has rescued a seven-year-old master Moses Iloba who was allegedly kidnapped few months ago in Okpanam town by a group of kidnappers and taken to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
While the command also disclosed the arrest of 22 other suspects for various offences, its commissioner, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim who confirmed this to journalists on Thursday in Asaba when he paraded the arrested suspects and the seven-year-old boy, explained that Iloba was kidnapped in Okpanam town, near Asaba, by one Abigail Nwakam (alias Madam cash) and one Ifeoma Anyadike as they were arrested in connection with the act.
The police boss disclosed that their arrest led to the recovery of the victim with the aid of the second suspect, adding that investigation also led to the arrest of their associates in crime namely, Emeka Ofodieze, Augustine Isiegume, and Anthonia Onwuegbusis in Nteje in Anambra State. He said four-year old boy identified as Chimobi Emmanuel Sunday who was kidnapped at 9th Mile, Enugu State was recovered from the said Emeka Ofodieze and Augustine Isiegume adding that investigation was ongoing.
Speaking further, the Police Commissioner, Zanna Ibrahim said that a four man gang of kidnappers operating with Jetta vehicle, Delta Taxi colour by off Summit Road, Asaba shot one Eche Peter Azi with a pump action rifle and also kidnapped his relation, one Uchenna Ifeacho, adding that the injured victim was rushed to Federal Medical Center Asaba while the kidnapped victim was rescued same day by SAKCCS Operatives, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim explained that on the 20th February, 2017, while the police were acting on available intelligence, one Nnamdi Agusi of Achala-Ibusa Road was arrested, and confessed to the crime, admitting being among the four- main kidnap gang that kidnapped the victim.
Also, the police said one Panama Ovuodeyorem in Ughelli was called on phone by a robbery suspect who on his arrival in the scene, unknown to him he is an armed robbery suspect, ordered him to move his vehicle to a lonely road, adding that the victim was on his way towards the lonely road, he forced the vehicle into a filling station and raised the alarm which attracted a police patrol team, unfortunately, the suspect could not escape and he was arrested on the spot. The police boss said the patrol team recovered one locally made cut to size gun, five cartridges and two ropes from the suspect who upon interrogation, confessed to the crime.
Meanwhile, the state police commissioner during the briefing, disclosed that one Stanley Aduli, a driver attached to Direct Labour Agency, Asaba, was robbed of a Hilux Van with registration No: OIA92 DT, property of the Delta State government at gun points by two armed men along Nnebisi road, by Federal College of Education Junction Asaba, adding that the hoodlums, Dan Malam 25 years old of power line area, Afiele, Edo State and Kabiru 32 years of Abele Sambo Trailer Park, Auchi were tracked and arrested in Auchi while taking the stolen vehicle to Abuja, adding that the vehicle was recovered while the suspects are currently undergoing interrogation.
