COVID- 19: Ex- minister distributes hands sanitisers to 3000 Kwarans, NUJ, others

Former Minister of Sports and Youths Development, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, on Sunday, distributed hands sanitisers to some residents of Ilorin, Kwara State as part of efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus in the state.

No fewer than 3,000 persons benefited from the former minister’s gesture which was carried out under the aegis of his political group- Omoluabi Movement.

Organised labour, including the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) also benefitted from the hand sanitisers donation.

Represented by the spokesman of Omoluabi Movement, Alhaji Mas’ud Adebimpe, the former minister said the donation of hand sanitizers was his widow’s mite towards curbing the spread of coronavirus in the state and to ‘keep my people safe.’

He said his movement has also embarked on enlightenment programme on the need for the residents of Ilorin to adhere to measures put in place to curb the spread of the pandemic.
